TuneNepal Terms of Service

A plain-language guide to using TuneNepal confidently

Last updated: 12 October 2025

1. What TuneNepal does

TuneNepal brings together Nepali and international headlines, short explainers, radio streams, and weather tiles in Nepali and English. Articles always link back to the originating publisher so you can read the full story at the source. We do not produce original reporting; we curate public material. By using TuneNepal you agree to these terms and the policies we reference.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be 18 or older, or have verifiable guardian consent, to create an account. • One person per account—keep your email and password confidential and sign out on shared devices. • Tell us at support@tunenepal.com right away if you notice suspicious activity, so we can secure the account.

3. How we source content

Our ingestion tools (identified as "TuneNepalBot/1.0") collect headlines from public RSS feeds, publisher APIs, and HTML pages that allow access under their robots.txt rules. We enrich stories with tags, summaries, and timelines, but the original publishers remain responsible for the underlying content. Newsrooms can request corrections or removals by emailing support@tunenepal.com.

4. Using TuneNepal responsibly

• Do not upload or share anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or misleading. • Scraping, bulk exporting, mirroring, or reverse engineering our code, APIs, or recommendation systems is not allowed. • Respect national laws that apply to you (including Nepali copyright, defamation, and broadcasting rules) and the requirements of the countries where you view or share content. • Report security weaknesses responsibly so we can fix them quickly.

5. Personalisation & device controls

Features such as the "For You" rail, followed sources or topics, saved articles, favourite radio stations, and alerts are completely optional. You can toggle them off in settings at any time. We store lightweight preferences on your device (for example language, theme, and an anonymous interaction identifier) to keep the interface consistent; that device data stays local unless you sign in and sync it.

6. Data practices (summary)

When you sign up we store the name, email, hashed password, country, and default language you provide, plus your saved feeds, radio picks, and interaction history. We explain exactly how we handle that information in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

7. Third-party links & radio

TuneNepal links out to third-party articles, live radio streams, podcasts, and weather providers. Their uptime, geo-restrictions, or advertising practices are outside our control, and their own terms govern your use of their services. Please review those policies before engaging with third-party content.

8. Fees, experiments & beta features

TuneNepal is currently free to use. If we experiment with beta features, limited pilots, or future paid tiers, we will publish the pricing, billing cycles, cancellation rules, and any feature-specific terms before you are charged.

9. Service availability & liability

TuneNepal is provided on an "as is" basis. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose, and the service is not intended for emergency alerts or critical decision-making. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the month the issue occurred (currently zero).

10. Regional notices

• Nepal: Nothing here overrides the Privacy Act 2018 (Privacy Act, 2075) or the Electronic Transactions Act 2006; we comply with those statutes whenever they apply. • European Union / EEA / United Kingdom: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018 / UK GDPR remain fully enforceable, and you may contact your local supervisory authority at any time. • United States & Canada: Mandatory consumer-protection statutes—such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA)—continue to apply. Where local law conflicts with these terms, the local requirement controls.

11. Ending or suspending service

You may delete your account at any time from settings, which will trigger the deletion process described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, harm other users, compromise security, or are required to be disabled by law. Any obligations that should reasonably survive termination (for example, previously incurred liabilities) remain in force.

12. Changes & contact

We timestamp changes to these terms and provide in-product or email notices when updates materially affect your rights. Questions or feedback? Write to terms@tunenepal.com or support@tunenepal.com and we will respond as quickly as we can.
